100 Birthday Poem to lola Flory

Such a special date is here,
A day within a special year,
A landmark age, a bell to toll
- one hundred years and strong of soul!

As the youngest of your kin,
I knew you for less time but then
we grew to be there for each other
- more than daughter, more than mother.

That I can't be there today,
is something that I cannot change,
but wish you so much happiness,
So Happy Birthday and God bless.

Happy Birthday lola

Teves Clan Familytree of Negros Oriental

The Teves Genealogy was originally written in the 1970s both in Spanish and English by Doña Rosario Teves Vicente or “Lola Charing” as she was widely known. She was of the German V. Teves branch and the youngest of five children born of Gertrudis Bilbao Teves and Bruno Gomez Vicente. Married to Enrique Moras who was a prominent sugar trader in Negros and Spain, Doña Rosario was a noted historian of the Villegas/Vicente Clan.

Several years later, Serafin Miguel “Nito” D. Teves III produced an updated Teves family tree based on the original Moras version. A BSN and registered nurse from Silliman University, Nito is an established visual artist, son to former Bais Vice Mayor Serafin M. Teves Jr. and Ma. Luisa Carmen A. Diaz, and brother of newly elected Provincial Board Member, Miguel Angel D. Teves. Nito is married to Gisela Mariana T. Bobon with whom he has two children, Angeli and Serafin IV.

This Teves Genealogy 2nd update was put together by Arlene D. Pastor, incorporating extensive data contributed by Czarina T. Bonnevie Teves, Prof. Penn T. Larena Jr. MPA (SPUD),the late Negros Historian Josefa Villanueva Perez and Joseph (George) T. Rivera. Their contributions have greatly expanded the wealth of information in the Genealogy for which they deserve attention and credit, including the Pastor family, cousins and other relatives who supported this project.

One may say that the Teves Genealogy is a family treasure, a gift from our ancestors, and for some a work of art developed over a period of time. It is therefore, the hope that future generations will continue to keep and cherish the Teves heritage and legacy for years to come.
